Why Attend?
The newly adopted Federal Rules of Civil Procedure pertaining to Electronic Discovery that when into effect December 2006 have resulted in a new level of awareness and paranoia in the legal community. Preservation and spoliation issues have risen by a noticeable increase in the number of motions for sanctions. The legal community has reacted by becoming very cognizant of their and their client's obligations to preserve and disclose. The technical requirements of performing electronic discovery correctly are now critical to (1) contain costs and (2) complete the electronic discovery engagement thoroughly without challenges from the other side.
Students will learn about the new rules affecting Electronic Discovery and its impact to attorney obligations during an Electronic Discovery engagement. These classes will also provide insight to the requirements and expectations of Electronic Discovery and Forensic engagements.
This class provides both legal and technical information explained in terms so that everyone will grasp an understanding of their obligations and requirements.
