Get a free copy of our Electronic Usage Policy Checklist

An Electronic Usage Policy (EUP) provides employees with information and guidelines on what they can/cannot do with your company's electronic data, computing equipment and data services. Every company should have a formal EUP in place that is communicated and signed routinely by every employee, including contractors. Type of business, technology in use, company culture and level of acceptable risk are some of the factors that can influence the framework of the policy. However, a more focused and comprehensive policy will provide the company additional protection from issues, including litigation, if and when a violation occurs. Effective policies will have buy-in from HR, legal, management and IT; they should be reviewed and approved by legal counsel.

David J. Yarnall, CCE, President of IT Acceleration and Director of Digital Forensics, can provide your organization with a presentation on how to create, implement, and enforce an EUP within your organization. For more information, or for a copy of our free EUP checklist, please complete the form below and click "Send Email" to submit your request.
